CT2Learn Evolved Learning System Accessibility

It is the intent of CT2Learn to provide member subscribers of the Evolved Learning System (ELS) with accessible content across the variety of offerings the system provides.

Most of the content presented in the system has been developed to enable accessibility for all subscribers using desktop or notebook computing systems. Some of the material is equally suitable for viewing on tablets or mobile devices.

In those cases in which content is not accessible to the member subscriber, the member may request accommodation through their educational institution. For requests that are approved, the educational institution will then make the request for specific accessible content directly from CT2Learn. At that time, CT2Learn will provide the institution with the content utilizing the options as detailed below for each content type. In most cases, CT2Learn sends the content directly to the educational institution.

This is done in order to adhere to laws pertaining to copyright and protected work. In cases in which content is curated from other sources from which CT2Learn does not hold copyright, every effort will be made to present the content in the most accommodating manner possible within our limited rights to that particular content. In those cases in which content cannot be modified for accessibility, CT2Learn will make every effort to find an alternate resource to replace the content in question.

How should academic accommodations be determined?

A reasonable accommodation is a modification or adjustment that enables a qualified individual with a disability to have an equal opportunity to attain the same level of content and enjoy equal privileges as are available to an individual without a disability.
